Comic Life Productions is a live comedy production company devoted to one simple mission: making rooms louder, happier, and occasionally awkward in the best way possible. We produce high-quality comedy shows that turn ordinary nights into stories people retell badly the next day.

Founded by stand-up comedian Neil Chris, Comic Life was built on a radical idea: that comedy doesn’t just entertain—it connects people, builds confidence, and occasionally saves your sanity. We believe laughter is communal, performers deserve support, and punchlines should land more often than they bomb.

From “Let’s Try This” to “Wow, This Is a Lot of Shows”

Comic Life started as a passion project and very quickly spiraled (in a good way).

After moving to the United States and discovering comedy’s healing powers—cheaper than therapy, louder than journaling—Neil realized there was a serious lack of stage time for emerging comics, especially in cities where open mics were scarce and dreams were plentiful.

So he did what any reasonable comedian would do: he built a stage.
Then another.
Then about thirty-four more.

By producing consistent live shows and creating a genuinely supportive environment (no gatekeeping, no weird vibes), Comic Life grew into a thriving platform for comedians across the Southeast. In just its first year, Comic Life Productions produced 34 comedy shows, helping comics sharpen their craft and giving audiences in Charleston, SC and Savannah, GA plenty of reasons to laugh loudly and often.

Today, Comic Life is proud to be a home for both seasoned comics and brave first-timers who thought, “How hard can this be?”

We believe stand-up comedy is more than jokes—it’s connection, confidence, and community, delivered with a microphone and questionable life choices.

Our mission is to:

• Support comedians at every level by providing real stage time, feedback, and a community that actually wants them to succeed.

• Create inclusive, laughter-fueled events where audiences feel welcome, relaxed, and slightly sore from laughing.

• Offer mentorship and guidance—from joke writing to stage presence—so new comics don’t have to figure out comedy the hard way (we already did).
